About HaloScore

What is HaloScore?

HaloScore is an AI visibility assessment for multifamily properties. It measures how often, and how prominently, AI engines like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude, and Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode recommend your property when renters ask where to live. It compares you with the competitors you choose, and gives you a prioritized plan to get named more often.

Which AI engines do you measure, and why those?

ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode: five of the most widely used AI engines. We measure what a renter using the free version sees. AI search changes quickly, so we review the list every quarter and tell you when it changes.

Why don't you measure Meta AI?

Meta AI lives inside Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, and about a third of US AI users use it (Menlo Ventures, 2026). We don't measure it yet because there is no reliable way to see the answers a renter sees there: Meta's developer access is still in preview, it doesn't let us set the renter's location, and nothing yet shows its answers match the ones inside Meta's apps.

We will add it when we can measure it the same way, every month. We review the list every quarter.

Is HaloScore AEO or GEO?

Both names describe the same goal: getting your property named in AI answers. Answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) are the terms the industry uses for that work.

HaloScore is the measurement and the roadmap for it. It shows where you stand on each AI engine, ranks you against your top competitors, and tells your team what to change, in order of impact. Your team, or a partner you choose, does the work.

How is HaloScore different from SEO?

Traditional search engine optimization (SEO) competes for a spot in a list of search results. AI search competes to be one of a handful of names in a short answer, a much smaller and higher-stakes target. That new work is often called AEO or GEO. HaloScore is built to measure and improve your standing in that new format. It doesn't replace your SEO work.

Which properties is HaloScore built for?

Any professionally managed multifamily community: new Class A lease-ups and established communities, renovations and repositionings, age-targeted and built-to-rent (BTR) communities, and garden-style, mid-rise, wrap and tower properties, whether you're an independent operator or part of a large management platform.

Your HaloScore

How often is my HaloScore updated?

Every quarter, with your AI Visibility Re-assessment. We measure every month, and in between you get a monthly update on where you rank, your share of AI mentions and where your recommendations stand.

The monthly update carries no HaloScore on purpose. AI answers vary from one day to the next, so a score read every month would move more on that variation than on anything you did. Three months of readings are what make a movement real.

Is a score of 40 bad?

Not necessarily. A HaloScore reads against your market, not against a perfect 100. No property is named in every answer: AI engines don't answer the same way twice, and each answer names only a handful of properties, so nobody scores near 100. Your report shows how your score compares with the other properties we measure and where you rank among your competitors. Those, and how your score moves over time, are the most useful reads.

Why did my score move when we didn't change anything?

AI search keeps changing. The AI engines update, and your competitors change their listings and websites. Your HaloScore reflects your standing in that market, not only your own work. We measure every property in your set the same way, on the same questions, and we only call a change real when it is bigger than the normal variation between readings.

What is share of AI mentions?

Of all the times the AI engines named you or one of your competitors, the share that named you. If you and five competitors were named equally, each of you would have about 17%. Above that, you're getting more than your share of the conversation.

What is readiness?

How well your property is set up for AI search: the information the AI engines draw on about you, across your ILS listings, your Google and Bing profiles, your Google reviews, your property facts and your website. It's the part you control. We show it area by area rather than as one number, and your roadmap tells you what to do in each.

Working with us

What do I get, and when?

Your AI Visibility Assessment usually arrives within two business days of ordering, and no later than 14 business days: your HaloScore, your rank among your competitors in your market, which AI engines name you and for which questions, and how ready your property is to be found. With a package you also get your AI Optimization Roadmap, AI Performance Monitoring every month, and an AI Visibility Re-assessment every quarter.

How do I pay?

By card or bank account, on a secure Stripe checkout at the end of the order form. Prices are per property, in US dollars, and paid in full for the plan’s term when you order. Bank payments take a few business days to clear.

Can I cancel, or get a refund?

Assessment Only and 6-Month Monitoring are not refundable once paid. On Full-Year Monitoring, or any 12-month monitoring term, cancel in writing by day 180 and we refund 25% of the monitoring fees. Automatic renewal is off unless you turn it on at checkout. If you turn it on, we email you before every renewal, and you can turn it off any time before the renewal date. The full rules are in our Terms of Service.

What do you need from me to get started?

Your property website, the competitors you want to be measured against, what makes your property different, and the nearby neighborhoods renters compare you with. It takes a few minutes, and we do the rest.

Who does the work?

Your team, or a partner you choose. HaloScore measures and recommends. Each recommendation is written so it can be handed straight to the person who owns it, your marketing team or whoever runs your website. We never log in to your accounts.

Do I need technical expertise to act on this?

No. Recommendations are written in plain language, and the website ones are written to forward as they are to whoever runs your site.

Will HaloScore get my property named more often?

HaloScore shows you what to do and measures whether it's working. No one controls what the AI engines say, so we never promise a ranking. What we do promise is an honest reading, taken the same way every time, so you can see whether your work is moving it.

See exactly how AI sees your property.
